Friedman Lane roadwork to begin this week delayed due to weather

Due to forecast heavy rain this week, both lanes of Friedman Lane, which were scheduled to close Wednesday, will instead be closed beginning Monday, April 7th.

Contractors working for the City of Paducah, Jim Smith Contracting and Harper Construction, will replace 256 linear feet of deteriorated storm pipe that runs along the westside of the roadway with a 48-inch diameter concrete pipe. 

The work also involves the reconstruction of three concrete structures and is expected to take approximately ten days to complete.
