A Friday drug investigation in McCracken County landed three people behind bars on numerous charges.
Detectives said they received a tip alleging that 48-year-old Ismael Ruiz was selling meth at a home on Seitz Street, and a search warrant was requested.
While watching the home, a vehicle occupied by 36-year-old Miranda and Richard Guzman was stopped. Miranda was known to have a warrant.
Miranda was arrested without issue. However, when it was discovered Richard had an out-of-state warrant, he reportedly pulled out a gun and was immediately taken to the ground.
Ruiz was arrested during a search of the home after detectives said he was found flushing methamphetamine in a toilet. The search allegedly uncovered additional meth, marijuana, and money from drug sales.
Ruiz and Richard were both charged with tampering with evidence, while Ruiz was additionally charged with trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana.
Richard also faces charges of resisting arrest, wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a felon, and possession of a defaced firearm.
Miranda was served with the outstanding warrant and charged with a traffic violation.
They were all taken to the McCracken County jail.
