The Fort Massac Encampment has become a victime of an email scam.

According to a news release, an email is currently circulating falsely claiming to represent the Fort Massac Encampment Vendor Coordinators.  Official vendor approvals and contracts for the Fort Massac Encampment are handled exclusively through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources

Vendors should also note that only those with an official IDNR contract will be permitted to operate at the Fort Massac Encampment.

If you receive suspicious communication regarding vendor applications, fees, or approvals, do not share personal information or send payment. Instead, forward the message to director@metropolistourism.com or contact Fort Massac State Park directly for verification.

The Fort Massac Encampment remains one of Illinois’ most celebrated heritage events, and the organizing partners are committed to ensuring a safe and authentic experience for both vendors and visitors
