A motorcyclist was arrested Sunday afternoon following a pursuit that reached speeds of up to 150 miles per hour and endangered multiple motorists.
Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop after measuring the motorcycle's speed at 96 mph in a 45-mph zone on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
The operator, later identified as 20-year-old Cody Dexter of Fort Campbell, refused to stop, initiating a pursuit spanning over seven miles. Dexter reportedly ran multiple red lights, made unsafe lane changes, and demonstrated reckless disregard for his passenger, who later stated she feared for her safety and urged him to stop.
Dexter eventually pulled over and was taken into custody without further incident.
He was charged with speeding, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, reckless driving and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
