A Florida woman was arrested twice in Paducah over the weekend after officers said she committed multiple vehicle thefts.

Fifty-nine-year-old Yamila LaBorde was arrested first on Sunday at the Hinkleville Road Walmart after allegedl attempting to steal a truck while a man was loading groceries.

The man's wife was in the passenger seat, and LaBorde reportedly demanded she get out because the truck belonged to her.

The man said he opened the driver's side door as LaBorde attempted to leave, but she failed to put the truck in gear.

She was taken to the McCracken County jail.

Four hours later, a man reported coming out of the library to find a woman driving away in his vehicle.

The car was found within minutes and stopped near the intersection of South 21st Street and Jackson Streets. LaBorde reportedly told officers she was tired of walking so she took the unattended vehicle.

She was taken back to the McCracken County jail on a charge of theft by unlawful taking.
