Ten bridge projects across Kentucky, including 5 in western Kentucky, will receive nearly $6.5 million in construction funding.

Nine of the ten bridges getting state money will be completely replaced. Four of the bridges are closed, and the others are posted with weight limits.

That includes Mayfield's Bellemeade Drive bridge, for which the weight limit had to be reduced from 18 tons to 3 tons. It will be replaced at a cost of $810,000.

Other western Kentucky bridge replacement projects will include:

Ballard County - Mosstown Rd     $650,000

Calloway County - Howard Rd      $800,000

Carlisle County - East Jennings Rd     $775,000

Graves County - Wingo Rd       $830,000
