First lady Jill Biden and Santa Claus visited Fort Campbell on Saturday to celebrate the holidays and meet with families impacted by the recent tornadoes in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.

The visit came as 68 families assoicated with the base remain displaced after a deadly EF-3 tornado touched down in Montgomery County two weeks ago, said Captain Steve Nava, deputy public affairs officer for the 101st Airborne. However, that number was greatly down from the 354 Fort Campbell families originally displaced by the Dec. 9 storm.

Biden and Santa arrived on "Sleigh Force One" to offer encouragement and holiday cheer.

Saturday’s visit included family photos with Santa, lunch and gifts for families from Toys for Tots.
