Two people arrested during a multi-county drug roundup in May were indicted by a federal grand jury in Paducah.

Forty-three-year-old Caryon Johnson of Paducah, and 43-year-old Treon McElrath of Clinton and Union City, have been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute meth.

The men will appear in U.S. District Court to face the charges. If convicted, they face 10 years to life in prison.

Johnson was allegedly found with a pound of crystal meth, over one hundred fentanyl pills, 100 grams of cocaine, and $8,532 believed to be from drug sales. Johnson had prior trafficking convictions, and was reportedly involved in a murder case in the 90's.

McElrath was arrested in Fulton, allegedly, with 3 pounds of methamphetamine. A search of his Union City home reportedly uncovered another half pound of meth, around seven pounds of suspected cocaine, and approximately $24, 000 in cash.
