People in southern Illinois have recently been finding fake money that's intended for theatrical use.
On Friday, the city of McLeansboro posted the latest example on social media.
They said the fake $100 bill was found and turned in to city hall.
The bill looks identical to a genuine $100 bill, but also has stamped on the front and back, COPY and FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY.
The "movie prop" bills are readily available from dozens of sellers on Amazon, for use in making videos or as gag gifts.
Responses on the city's post said that at least one other bill was found recently in McLeansboro, and a similar bill was found in the city of Carlyle.
There was no mention of any local attempts to use the fake bills to purchase items. However, in other parts of the country they have been flagged as a problem by other police departments.
