Complaints about a wrong way driver last week led to a pursuit and the eventual arrest of an Eddyville man.
Officers responded to the complaint on US 62 and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver reportedly fled.
The sheriff's office said the driver, later identified as 24-year-old Nicholas Gilbert, eventually turned into a crop field near the Cumberland River, before circling back and ramming a cruiser.
Gilbert was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading, reckless driving, assault, criminal mischief, DUI, and other traffic related offenses.
He was taken to the Crittenden County jail.
