Crash leads to Hopkinsville woman's arrest on criminal abuse charges

A Hopkinsville woman is jailed on criminal abuse and other charges following a Sunday night traffic accident.

WKDZ reported Hopkinsville Police as saying they were called to a Hunting Creek Road location where a car had run off the road and hit a fence.  The vehicle was operated by 26-year-old Charity Berry.  Investigators noted the smell of alcohol and Berry was arrested following sobriety tests.

Two children under the age of 12 were also found in the vehicle.  Berry was charged with criminal abuse, DUI and criminal mischief.  She is being held in the Christian County Jail.
