The National Weather Service team said the tornado at 5:05 a.m. was only on the ground for about one minute, and traveled just over half a mile along the south side of Woodville Road west of Bethel Church Road, near the McCracken/Ballard county line.
Estimated 90-mph winds in its 50-yard wide path caused one house to lose part of its roof. Other homes suffered facia and siding damage.
One large tree fell across the road, and about a dozen others lost large limbs.
This week the National Weather Service is continuing to survey other storm damage areas in Missouri, southern Illinois and southwest Indiana.
