DuQuoin man arrested after months-long sexual abuse investigation

A DuQuoin man has been arrested after a months-long investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving a minor.

Police in DuQuoin, along with the Perry Jackson County Child Advocacy Center, called in Illinois State Police to investigate the claims that date back to December of 2024. Authorities have accused 36-year-old Christopher B. Davis of DuQuoin of alleged sexual abuse of a minor. Following what has been described as an extensive investigation, a warrant was sought for Davis on August 22nd. Davis was arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

Charges and details of the case have not been revealed. Davis remains in custody awaiting a court date.
