Drug investigation leads to arrest of McCracken County woman

A month-long drug investigation led to the arrest of a McCracken County woman on Monday.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said last month they received information that 49-year-old Lana M. Ford of Carolina Street was allegedly selling methamphetamine.

As part of the investigation, detectives conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Ford.

Ford was arrested at a Needmore Road residence.  During the arrest, detectives located approximately 17 grams of meth inside Ford’s purse.  She is also facing charges in Marshall County.

Ford is charged with trafficking in meth, possession of marijuana and possession of a hallucinogen.  She is being held in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
