The Princeton Police Department says officers were called around 4:50 pm to South Seminary Street where they contacted 33-year-old Anthony Richey.
Officers say Richey initially fled the scene.
Their investigation found a physical altercation had taken place, with Richey allegedly choking the victim.
Richey was taken into custody, charged with strangulation, and taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
