According to WPKY, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office reports the crash occurred just before noon on Wednesday on KY 295 North.
The investigation found that 81-year-old Michael Kessler was southbound when a deer ran into his lane. Kessler reportedly tried to avoid the deer, making him loose control, leave the roadway, hit a concrete driveway corner, and come to rest in an embankment.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
