Blasting cap discovered at Clarksville Goodwill store Saturday

A blasting cap was discovered inside a donated bag at a Clarksville, TN Goodwill store Saturday.

WKDZ reported Clarksville Police received a 911 call around 2:40 pm after an explosive device was discovered in a donated bag to the Goodwill store on Needmore Road.

Fort Campbell Public  Affairs said explosive disposal technicans safely removed the cap and worked alongside the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad along with Clarksville Fire Rescue and Clarksville EMS.

The device was taken to Fort Campbell for disposal and no other explosives were found.
