The United States Department of Energy will once again conduct public tours of the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
The free tours will take place on Saturday, April 1, and Saturday, June 3. There will be a morning and afternoon tour each day and space is limited to 40 people each.
The tours are an opportunity to get an up-close look at the former uranium enrichment facility, as well as learn about its history and the current process of deactivation.
To be eligible, attendees must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and have a valid government-issued photo I.D. No cameras, recording devices, cell phones, or any other wireless or Bluetooth-capable devices are allowed.

Those who reserve spots must attend orientation for their tour at West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Emerging Technology Building. Morning tour orientation begins at 8 a.m., and afternoon tour orientation begins at Noon. The tours last approximately three hours.
