Crash leads to DUI charge for Murray man

A crash near Sonic in Murray landed a man behind bars on a DUI charge.

Officers said Sunday afternoon they noticed a vehicle had driven off the north side of the parking lot, through a fence, and was hanging on a 6 foot ledge.

The driver, 71-year-old Donnie Thomas, reportedly said he was leaving the parking lot when he suddenly lost consciousness.

Officers said Thomas was safely removed from the vehicle before he was arrested on a DUI charge.
