Cadiz man injured, charged with DUI after collision with tractor trailer

A Cadiz man was injured and cited for DUI following an early Saturday morning crash involving a tractor trailer.

Cadiz Police told WKDZ the accident occured on US 68 at the intersection of Broadbent Blvd. when a vehicle operated by Terry Powell hit the back of the semi as it was exiting from I-24 westbound.

Powell had to be cut out ouf the vehicle by  Trigg County Rescue and was taken to Trigg County Hospital fo trreatment of possible severe injuries.  Powell was also cited fo DUI.

The driver of the out of state truck was not hurt.
