Commission tables ordinance on rezoning of Fountain Avenue residence

Paducah Board of Commissioners held a special called meeting Tuesday evening.

The board voted to table first reading of an ordinance of rezoning a residence at 200 Fountain Avenue from R-1 Low Density Residential to Nieghborhood Services Zone.

Several residents voiced concern about the change which was passed by the Paducah Planning Commission.  Mayor George Bray said he tabled the measure in good faith due to concerns of the residents.

In other action, the commissioners set the Fiscal Year 2025 tax rate at $.264 per $100 assessed value of real estate tax and $.356 per $100 assessed value for personal tax.

The board also approved the Paducah Independent tax rate for personal tax and real estate tax at $.875.
