Cold weather advisory in effect Tuesday evening

The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory from 9 pm Tuesday evening until 9 am Wednsday morning for portions of western Kentucky, southern Illinois and southwest Indiana.

Dangerously cold temperatures will take place this evening with frostbite and hypothermia occuring if unprotected skin is exposed to the extremely cold temperatures.

Lows will be in the single digits this evening with wind chills possibly below zero in some areas.
