Paducah city officials are encouraging citizens to consider serving on various city government boards.

"The City of Paducah benefits from the engagement, recommendations, and guidance from more than two dozen boards and commissions," said a recently released open letter.

The letter notes those groups range "from the Paducah Civic Beautification Board, Planning Commission, Historic & Architectural Review Commission, Brooks Stadium Commission, Paducah Main Street, and many more."

It adds, "These boards consist of individuals who dedicate their time and energy to serving their community."

Mayor George Bray added a comment. “Serving on a board or commission is a way that you can influence and make an impact on our community," he said. "We are always looking for new thoughts and ideas from interested and qualified community members. Please review the list of opportunities and submit an application."

Mayor Bray invites those interested in serving to reach out to him via email to ask questions and learn more about opportunities.

Visit Board and Commissions for the application, an overview of the various boards, and additional information. To ask a question, contact Assistant City Clerk Claudia Meeks in the City Clerk’s Office at 270-444-8507 or by email.
