After a mostly sunny day on Thursday with highs in the low 80's and breezy, we can expect showers and thunderstorms Friday.
However, a pattern shift to the west means the previous severe weather threat has backed off for Friday. There's now only a marginal (level 1) risk for southeast Missouri and the southwestern corner of western Kentucky.
Another chance of showers is forecast for Sunday. Temperatures all weekend will be in the upper 70s.
On Monday, a better organized threat for severe storms could return, but it's too far out to be more definitive.
