Canadian National Railroad scheduling bridge work in Paducah

Canadian National Railroad is planning some bridge work on overpasses above Jefferson and Broadway this week.

The City of Paducah said that Canadian National will begin track improvements on the railroad bridges on Tuesday, with work on the overpass above Jefferson Street between 31st and Labelle on Tuesday. The work will shut down Jefferson from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The work will move to the bridge over Broadway on the other side of the old Coke plant for Thursday and Friday. Broadway will be closed both of those days from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well.

There will be signage posted. Drivers will need to find alternate routes.
