Caldwell County pursuit leads to arrest of Fredonia man

A high speed chase Tuesday in Caldwell County led to the arrest of a Fredonia man.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Farmersville Road, but the driver fled. A pursuit on West Fork Road exceeded speeds of 90 miles per hour.

When the driver, 22-year-old Mathew Daniel Patton finally stopped, he was arrested and charged with numerous traffic offenses.

Patton was taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
