Benton man charged with strangulation, assault

A Benton man was arrested Friday after Marshall County Sheriff's deputies were called to a residence about a domestic altercation.

The female victim told deputies that 33-year-old William Hayden had put his hand around her throat and cut off her airway.

Hayden had also thrown an object at the victim striking her in the head.

He admitted to the allegations and was charged with strangulation and assault.
