Benton man faces charges after disturbance

A Benton man faces several charges, some involving drugs, after a disturbance on Friday.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Christian Fellowship Road for a report of a man screaming inside a residence. Deputies said that 32-year-old Andrew Woodford allegedly had drugs in his possession, and reportedly had given some to a minor who was also present. Woodford is said to have made threats toward the deputies as they took him into custody.

Woodford was charged with terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct, unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.
