Barkley Dam 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb returns next week

The Barkley Dam 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb returns next week ahead of the 23rd anniversary of the terror attacks in New York.

The event will take place on September 7th at Barkley Dam. It gives local firefighters, first responders, and anyone who supports them a chance to pay tribute and memorialize those who ran into the World Trade Center to save the lives of fellow Americans. First responders can pre-register for $30 and will receive a tee shirt. The tee shirts will also be for sale at the event. 

A memorial service will kick off the day at 8:30 a.m. and the stair climb will begin at 9:30. 

Proceeds from the event benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
