Bardwell man charged with alleged possession of child sex abuse materials

A nearly year-long investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office, and 1st Circuit Commonwealth Attorney’s Office resulted in an arrest on Tuesday. 
 
In March the Carlisle County Sheriff's Office was made aware of an investigation that Marshall County detectives had been working on since December of 2025. That investigation led them to a residence in Bardwell where their suspect, 31-year-old Jake Beasley, was living. 

A search of that address netted digital electronic devices that belonged to the suspect. They were sent to the Paducah Police Department Digital Forensic Unit. The 1st Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney Office began an investigation into the contents of the devices which were presented to a Carlisle County Grand Jury. 

The Grand Jury returned an indictment of 25 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance of Minor Victim less than 12 years of age. All counts are Class C felonies that hold a potential penalty of 5 to 10 years in prison per count. 

On Tuesday Beasley was located and taken into custody on the Carlisle County warrant, and a warrant out of Marshall County. 

Beasley was transported to the Ballard County Detention Center.
