Ballard Fiscal Court passes resolution concerning exploration of DOE site in McCracken County

The Ballard County Fiscal Court on Tuesday voted in favor to support the U.S. Department of Energy exploration of utilizing the Department of Energy site in west McCracken County as a site for new nuclear industries.

The resolution also stated the community is dedicated to reindustrialization at the site including clean energy and advanced nuclear technologies as a source of future economic development for the future of the site.

The DOE site has 3,660 acres of industrial land at the site.
