The Murray woman accused of stabbing a woman and injuring a man at the Murray Goodwill store on Tuesday made a court appearance on Wednesday.

The Murray Sentinel reported that 30-year-old Madison Hinchey was charged with attempted murder, and two counts of assault.

Murray Police said they found two victims, one stabbed in the chest and the other had been hit with a shovel.  Both were workers at Goodwill, according to court records.

The records said Hinchey came to the store and confronted one employee, Emily Odom, in the back of the store.  Witnesses said Hinchey yelled at Odom, pulled a knife from her purse and began chasing her through the store onto the loading dock outside.

A second employee chased the women to the dock where Hinchey stabbed Odom in the chest before the other employee subdued her.  He was then struck with a snow shovel and bitten on the arm.

It was also reported earlier in the day that Hinchey was involved in another call involving Murray Police.

Officers responded to a residence on Arbor Drive after receiving a call from a woman who said her sister was trying to kill her. Officers at the Goodwill stabbing told dispatchers Hinchey was the subject of the earlier Arbor Drive call.

Calloway District Judge Randall Hutchins set a preliminary hearing for April 29th at 9 am.  Hinchey is being held in the Calloway County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
