Anonymous call about domestic situation lands Metropolis woman in jail

A call from an anonymous individual about a domestic situation in a park landed a Metropolis woman in jail.

The caller told Metropolis Police they witnessed a couple arguing in Dorothy Miller Park on Front Street in Metropolis. The caller alleged that the woman struck the man in the face. The pair were sitting on a bench near the river when police arrived. Officers said there were visible marks on the man's face. 

Police arrested 21-year-old Karis J. Ezell of Metropolis and charged her with domestic battery. She was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
