Altercation in Calloway County sends one man to jail

An altercation at a home in Calloway County on Tuesday sent one man to jail.

Calloway County Sheriff's deputies were called at about 8 p.m. to the home on Kirksey Almo Road. When they arrived they allegedly found 18-year-old Steven L. Frantz in the yard with a knife. They said Frantz had been in a fight with family. Deputies demanded that Frantz drop the knife, which he did.

Frantz was arrested and charged with assault-domestic violence with minor injury, wanton endangerment, and attempted cruelty to animals. Frantz was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
