Star’s Teacher of the Year Awarded

The 3^rd year of honoring area teachers concluded with an enormous surprise on Tuesday. Magen Wood, a 1^st grade teacher at Murray Elementary School, was named the 2024-2025 West Kentucky Star Teacher of the Year.

Several students, other teachers and even her family were on hand to surprise Mrs. Wood as she was called to her “special staff meeting.” Before the confetti even landed, representatives from the award sponsor – Scott Walker Construction – presented her prize.
