First Teacher of the Month for Morgan Elementary

There’s something special about teachers. Every winner we meet has a smile that lights up a room and a desire for their students to achieve their best. Destiny Ringstaff is no different. She is the December Teacher of the Month. She is the first teacher to win from Morgan Elementary.

Ms. Ringstaff is a Special Education teacher in her 12^th year of teaching. She has been at Morgan every year since her student teaching and when I asked if she planned to teach at Morgan for the rest of her career, she responded with an enthusiastic “YES!” “I love the kids and the kids love me, that’s my favorite part,” Ringstaff exclaimed.

It wasn’t hard to get any quotes of praise for Ms. Ringstaff. Principal Tammy Snyder said, “She is the one of the most positive people you will EVER meet. She sees the greatness in everything.” Hannah Conyer, Academic Dean conveyed, “She’s wonderful!”

West Kentucky Star Teacher of the Month, sponsored by Scott Walker Construction, is awarded each month of the school year. As the December winner, Ms. Ringstaff will join the other 2025-2026 awardees for the West Kentucky Star Teacher of the Year. Each teacher’s school receives a yard sign to show that a “Teacher of the Month Works Here.” It’s a great addition to the school entrances and a way schools can show off their winning teacher!
