Rock the Country music festival in Poplar Bluff canceled

This year's "Rock the Country" music festival scheduled for May in Poplar Bluff has been canceled.

Organizers posted the cancellation on social media on Friday.

Last year's event drew more than 42,000 fans, according to the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce.

Organizers say those who purchased tickets can get a refund, or transfer them to any of the ten other Rock the Country venues, including Little Rock, Arkansas; Knoxville, Tennessee; Cullman, Alabama or Ashland, Kentucky.
