Du Quoin State Fair opens Friday

The Du Quoin State Fair opens in southern Illinois on Friday through Labor Day, September 1.

Last year's fair set attendance records, and organizers are looking forward to even bigger crowds this year.

Rides, vendors, ag exhibits and food stands are being set up, and a full slate of grandstand events are on tap.
