Mrs. Jeanne
Fleming Carlson, age 78, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died on Saturday,
December 1, 2018, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House.
Mrs.Carlson was born May 8, 1940, in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Vincent Lundeen
and Ellen Rajala Lundeen. She was a member of the Garden Worship Center in
Belleview, Florida and attended services at Sugar Creek Baptist Church when
visiting in Murray. Mrs. Carlson was the owner and operator of Office Extras for
many years while living in Murray. She was named Secretary of the Year for the
Kentucky Division of Secretaries, BPW Woman of the Year, commissioned a Kentucky
Colonel, Rotarian of the Year, Who’s Who in business listing, Murray Ambassador
Award, and a Leadership Murray Alumni. She served on the MCMA Board, Playhouse
in the Park Board, Jackson Purchase Dance Co. Board, and was a charter member
of the Purchase Area Toastmasters. She was also a Dale Carnegie graduate.
In
addition to her parents Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her husband,
Richard George Carlson. Survivors of Jeanne are two daughters, Joanna Orr and husband
Dale of Kuttawa, Kentucky and Patrice Wyatt and husband Scott of Murray,
Kentucky; two sons, Dan Fleming and Kevin Fleming both of Murray, Kentucky; one
step daughter, Hedi Kiekhaefer and husband Eric of St. Paul, Minnesota; two step
sons, Eric Carlson and wife Cheryl of Hill City, Minnesota and Christopher
Carlson and wife Richelle Heck of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She is also
survived by one brother, Gerald Lundeen of Waukegan, Illinois; seven grandchildren,
Kenny Orr, Austin Wyatt, Brady Orr, Patrick Wyatt, Cheyanne Wyatt, Shane Wyatt
and Jonah Wyatt; and six step grandchildren, Ashley Carlson, Austin Carlson,
Shannon Kiekhaefer, Riley Heck, Joseph Heck and Sophie Heck.
A
memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 1-3 p.m. at
the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
