Three people were arrested after deputies tried to serve an arrest warrant in Grand Rivers.

Livingston County Sheriff's deputies went to the home of 57-year-old Lawrence Ellis in Grand Rivers on Thursday night trying to serve an arrest warrant. Ellis was accused of failing to appear in Livingston Circuit Court. When they arrived at his home, an individual fled out the back door and ran toward a wooded area. Deputies gave chase and caught 48-year-old Steven Talley of Eddyville.

Talley was wanted as well. He was reportedly in violation of his conditions of release as it relates to an ongoing court case. He was also charged with fleeing or evading police. Ellis was also arrested and deputies requested and received a search warrant for the home.

The search is said to have located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Ellis was additionally charged with possession of meth and marijuana. Another man present in the home at the time of the search, 47-year-old Monnie Reed of Oil Springs, was cited for meth possession, as well.
