Rebuilt Mayfield fire station will hold grand opening April 21

After more than four years since the devastating 2021 tornado devastated most of downtown Mayfield, the city's new fire station will see its grand opening later this month.

Fire Station 1 will host a grand opening event on Tuesday, April 21 at 115 Kings Drive, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Riley Architect Service has been the contractor in charge of the fire station project since ground was broken in September 2024.

Meanwhile, other destroyed Mayfield institutions are also taking shape. Construction continues on the new city hall and police station, and just this week Mayor Kathy O’Nan signed the deed for the final parcel of land located at the corner of 7th and Broadway, completing the acquisition of the entire block that will be home to the future Graves County Judicial Center.
