A Paducah man was arrested Sunday following a two state pursuit.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they observed 40 year old Lamar Wilson operating a vehicle in front of a business on Hinkleville Road.

The deputy knew Wilson had a suspended license for past driving under the influence convictions along with several arrest warrants.

The deputy tried to stop the vehicle but Wilson fled the scene onto I-24 East at first, then utilized a turnaround and traveled west on the interstate.

Deputies terminated the pursuit prior to the Ohio River bridge.  Law enforcement in Massac County took over but Wilson fled from them and continued back to Paducah via the Brookport Bridge.

Paducah Police then got involved and successfully utilized a tire deflation device on North 8th Street.

Wilson eventually lost control of the vehicle at the intersection of Park Avenue and Fountain Avenue and then fled on foot into a cemetery before being apprehended.

He was charged with numerous traffic offenses and three arrest warrants for failure to appear, for bond revocations and bond hearings to driving under the influence, drug charges and other crimes.

Wilson was lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
