One arrested but investigation into car theft, home invasion continues

A stolen vehicle from a Cadiz home was found in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon, with the driver arrested and a continuing investigation into a home invasion which may have led to the car's theft.

WKDZ reported the car taken from an Anna Street home in Cadiz was found in Hopkinsville with the driver Cindy Hicks taken into custody.  Cadiz police chief Tyler Thomas said there was also a passenger in the vehicle, who told officers he was just seeking a ride to Hopkinsville and did not know the car was stolen.  The passenger was not arrested.

The vehicle was reported from the Anna Street residence in Cadiz Wednesday afternoon with Kentucky State Police following up a report of the possible home invasion.  Evidence is being reviewed to see if it was Hicks who entered the home.  Also, Cadiz Police are waiting to see footage from a doorbell cam to see what happened at the Anna Street location.
