A new spec building was opened in Princeton's Industrial Park Wednesday.
WKDZ reported officals from Caldwell and Crittenden counties along with state officials were on hand for the 100,000 square foot spec building that is now ready for use.
The facility was made possible by a $4 million award from the Kentucky Product Development Initative grant system and a $4 million match by Caldwell and Crittenden counties.
Caldwell Judge Executive Kota Young noted it's the first newly constructed building in the industrial park since 1998.
Young also said plans are to file a third KDPI grant this fall to construct another spec building in addition to a 60 unit apartment complex which is currently being sought.
