Mayfield man jailed on drug charges in Livingston County

A Mayfield man was arrested following a Monday traffic stop in Livingston County.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office pulled over a vehicle operated by 44-year-old Wesley Aldridge at the intersection of US 60 and Blakenship Road in Ledbetter.

Aldridge was first arrested for DUI, but during a search of the vehicle, deputies located approximately 60 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over $1,000 in cash believed to be proceeds from illicit drug sales, and other items indicative of drug trafficking.

Aldridge was charged with  trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aldridge has an extensive criminal history, including previous convictions for trafficking and burglary.
