Illinois man accused of driving the wrong way on US 45 in Mayfield

An Illinois man was charged with driving under the influence after multiple reports of a wrong-way driver in Mayfield.

Mayfield police responded to US 45 on Thursday after dispatchers received multiple calls about the driver.

They safely pulled the vehicle over and arrested 64-year-old Kerry Hall of Elgin.

Hall was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
