Two Paducah men and 3 teenagers have been arrested and charged after stealing a number of vehicles last month.
The Paducah Police Department began investigating reports of stolen vehicles between June 13-20. Officers said that all seven stolen vehicles had been left unlocked with the keys inside.
Officers were able to determine these vehicles were being stolen by a group of people in an organized effort. Authorities said they were able to identify 19-year-old Samuel L. Wring, 21-year-old Daniel Gutierrez, and the three juveniles as the ones responsible for stealing the vehicles.
Based on their coordinated efforts, all of the suspects were charged with engaging in organized crime, along with the vehicle thefts. Wring and Gutierrez were also charged with unlawful transaction with a minor for assisting the minors while they engaged in illegal activity.
Officers also determined that Wring was responsible for two additional vehicle thefts not related to the other seven.
Wring and Gutierrez were arrested and lodged in McCracken County Regional Jail. The three juveniles were charged through the court system and lodged in juvenile detention facilities.
Anyone with information about this investigation or any other is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550.
