Cain named as new treasurer of MSU Board of Regents

During a special called meeting Tuesday, Murray State University's Board of Regents appointed a new board treasurer.

Wendy Cain was selected by a unaminous vote according to the Murray Ledger and Times.  Cain serves as the schools Assistant Vice President of Finance. 

She replaces Dr. Laura Foltz, who is on administrative leave.  Foltz and two other employees left their positions last week.

Cain comes to the MSU board two months after Dr. Foltz was appointed as board treasuer.  Foltz was hired by the school as Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services  in January.

MSU president Dr. Ron Patterson indicated during the meeting the school is looking to fill the three positions vacated including Foltz's position on an interim basis. 

One other employee also announced a leave last week and the other resigned her position,
