Traffic stop leads to drug arrest of Murray man

A traffic stop last Friday leads to the arrest of a Murray man on drug charges.

Murray Police said Tuesday they pulled over a vehicle at 12:36 am last Friday on North 12th Street.  During the stop, K-9 Bonnie alerted officers to the smell of narcotics in the vehicle of 45-year-old Jacob Thewatt of Murray.  

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine.

Thewatt was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
