Dozens of the nation's elite high school basketball teams and players will converge on western Kentucky this weekend.

The Marshall County Hoopfest has been happening for decades, but now Murray will host a separate showcase as well.

The Grind Session will take place Thursday through Saturday with games at Calloway County High School, and at the CFSB Center.

It'll feature more than 30 players already committed to Division One colleges, including the #1 rated player in the country, AJ Dybantsa, and girls stars Bella Hines and Olivia Edwards. Squads from Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Alabama and Florida will be on the schedule.

Local teams represented at the Grind Session will include Calloway County, Murray, Lyon County and five other Kentucky schools.

The annual Marshall County Hoopfest gets underway today at the high school with its usual crop of national talent. After a pair of local girls games this evening, the daily lineup through Saturday will also include top national teams from California, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee.

Local teams participating at Hoopfest include Marshall County's boys and girls, McCracken County, Graves County, Crittenden County, and Massac County boys and girls.
